Tagging Agreement
The commitments you accept before claiming a match to tag on ScoutIq.
Last updated May 31, 2026
By confirming a match for tagging, you (the âTaggerâ) agree to the terms below. These exist to protect the integrity of ScoutIq's data, which scouts, club managers, and analysts rely on to make real decisions about players and teams.
1. Ownership of the assignment
When you confirm a match, it is exclusively assigned to you for the duration of your active tagging session. No other tagger can claim it while your session is live.
If you step away and your session expires, the match is released so it can be tagged by someone else. You can re-claim it later if it is still available.
2. Accuracy and good faith
You commit to tagging events as accurately and completely as you reasonably can, based on the match footage provided.
- Tag events at the correct moment, location, and for the correct player.
- Do not fabricate, guess at, or duplicate events you cannot clearly observe.
- Set each team's starting lineup and the attack direction truthfully â these feed the platform's team pages.
- Report missing, broken, or incorrect data (video or roster) instead of working around it.
3. Use of the data
All data you submit â events, lineups, and match metadata â becomes part of ScoutIq's dataset and may be used for analytics, reports, and product features across the platform.
Your tagging activity (events tagged, time spent, session telemetry) is recorded so administrators can review quality and throughput.
4. Confidentiality and conduct
Match footage and any non-public information you access while tagging are confidential. Do not share, redistribute, or republish them outside ScoutIq.
Tagging is performed in good faith and in line with ScoutIq's community standards. Repeated low-quality or bad-faith tagging may result in losing tagging access.
5. Review and approval
Finishing a match submits it for administrator review. Your work is not published to analytics until it is approved. If it is rejected, you may be asked to correct and resubmit it.
