Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

2. Roles and access tiers

The Service offers different account roles (free user, premium user, enterprise user, scouting agent, club manager, tagger, taggers' supervisor, administrator) with different features and permissions. We may change, add, or retire features available to a given tier at our discretion, with notice for material reductions to a paid tier's core features during an active billing period.

3. Subscriptions and payments

Premium features are available on a subscription basis, billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. Card payments are processed by Stripe; in Côte d'Ivoire and supported West African markets, you may instead pay via mobile money (Wave, Orange Money, MTN, Moov Africa) through CinetPay.

• Card subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled; you can cancel anytime from Settings → Subscription, and you retain access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
• Mobile money payments are one-off charges for a billing period; they do not auto-renew — you check out again to renew, and we will remind you before your access period ends.
• A free trial, where offered, requires a valid payment method and converts to a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand.
• Fees are shown before you pay and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or explicitly stated otherwise.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the Service outside any API we explicitly provide for that purpose.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying models of the Service.
• Submit tagging data, predictions, or content that is fabricated, fraudulent, or knowingly inaccurate.
• Use another person's account, share credentials, or circumvent access controls or rate limits.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, defame, or infringe the rights of others.
• Attempt to defraud our payment processors (chargebacks made in bad faith, stolen payment methods, etc.).

5. Content you submit

When you tag match events, submit predictions, upload media, or otherwise contribute data ("User Content"), you grant ScoutIq a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, store, reproduce, and incorporate that User Content into the Service's analytics, reports, and features, as described in the Privacy Policy and, for taggers, the separate Tagging Agreement. You confirm you have the right to submit any media you upload (e.g. you own or are licensed to use any photo you upload as a profile picture or club logo).

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, trademarks (including "ScoutIq"), and aggregated/derived analytics, is owned by [SCOUTIQ LEGAL ENTITY NAME] or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of that ownership to you. Publicly available underlying football statistics (fixtures, results, standings) are not exclusive to ScoutIq.

7. AI features disclaimer

AI Scout, market-value estimates, progression scores, and transfer-likelihood predictions are generated from statistical models and available data. They are provided for informational and scouting-assistance purposes only, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and do not constitute professional, financial, contractual, or legal advice. Decisions about players, transfers, or contracts remain your sole responsibility.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates third-party providers (payment processors, cloud storage, AI providers, push notification services) described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those integrations may also be subject to that provider's own terms.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings → Security → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or pose a security risk to the Service or other users, with notice where reasonably practicable.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, [SCOUTIQ LEGAL ENTITY NAME] is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or any mandatory statutory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Côte d'Ivoire, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute not resolved amicably is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of habitual residence, which these Terms do not override.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above, and where required by law, we will ask existing users to re-confirm acceptance of a materially changed version.
